Excel Aviation was delighted to accept an invitation to attend a meeting of the Fingal Dublin Chamber of Commerce meeting on 28th January to welcome the new President, Guy Thompson.

As a networking opportunity this was ideal as the Fingal Chamber covers  Dublin Airport where a large number of Excel’s existing and potential clients are based.

The event was attended by a large gathering of people, who included County Council, Paul Reid and special guest, Tánaiste, Joan Burton TD.

Speakers were introduced by Chamber CEO, Tony Lambert and included the Mayor and Tánaiste, who praised the qualities of Guy and wished him well in his tenure as Chamber President.

An Tánaiste said, "I have great pleasure in congratulating Guy, who is a very well-known and popular General Manager of this hotel. He takes up office at a very exciting time for the whole of Fingal, with new investments, both national and international lined up."

She also referenced the fact that Facebook is to build a new headquarters at Clonee, which she claimed for Fingal from neighbouring Meath, which was greeted with some humour.
